Rev. Powell was a graduate of Arkansas State University; Phillips University in Enid, Ok. and the University of Chicago. He was called to Garden City Christian, located on the west side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Took effect Feb.11, 1962 He remained there for 19 years, retiring in 1981. Father of 2 children; James K. Powell and Mary Beth Powell. He passed to glory Feb. 10, 1993 at the age of 77.
